The flanges have a low ductility but maintain excellent strength. They have good weldability and formability. Like other titanium grades, this material is also lightweight. The flanges are resistant to corrosion in most common and industrial environments. The other components of the alloy improve the strength while retaining the weight of titanium. They are not prone to attack from corrosive compounds containing basic or acidic characteristics. They are categorized into socket, orifice, blind, spectacle, raised face, weld neck, threaded, SORF, and reducing. The flanges are classified into 150#, 300#, 600#, 900#, 1500#, 2500#, PN6, PN10, PN16, PN25, PN40, PN64, PN100, and PN160 based on pressure.


Properties of titanium Gr 5 flanges

Mechanical and physical- The alloy has a density of 4.43g/cm3. The tensile strength and yield strength are 950 and 880MPa respectively. The material has a low elongation capacity of around 15%. The melting point of the alloy is 16300 C.

Chemical- The elements found in titanium grade 5 flanges are titanium, iron, aluminum, vanadium, oxygen, carbon, and nitrogen.
