Inconel 690 Foil

Inconel 690 is an alloy of nickel-chromium and iron which exhibits excellent corrosion resistance, high-temperature strength and good fabrication characteristics. It contains a minimum of 58% nickel, 28%-33% chromium, and silicon, manganese, and molybdenum for increased strength at both elevated and ambient temperatures. This alloy is often used in heat exchangers, condensers, valves and other components, and in foil form for gas-tight welded lap joints in zero leakage systems.

Inconel 690 foil is extremely resistant to corrosion and oxidation due to its high chromium content and molybdenum, tungsten, and niobium. It is also highly resistant to acidic environments in temperatures up to 1500°F (815°C). The alloy’s superb strength is further enhanced by its low levels of carbon and impurities. This makes it the perfect choice for use in chemical processing plants or areas that require superior performance under harsh conditions.
