Stainless Steel 444 Foil is a ferritic stainless steel grade that contains 18% chromium and low levels of carbon. It has excellent corrosion resistance in corrosive environments compared to other grades due to the high molybdenum content. Its alloying components also provide increased formability, weldability, and improved pitting resistance. This product is often found in marine applications and chemical processing plants due to its superior corrosion protection properties.
Stainless Steel 444 Foil is highly corrosion resistant and is widely used in industries, including transportation, oil & gas, agricultural machinery, electrical equipment and medical applications. It has a high chromium content (up to 25%), which gives it good pitting resistance characteristics. Additionally, it has excellent forming properties and weldability for fabrication purposes. It also provides very good heat resistance up to 815°C and superior mechanical strength at high temperatures. Its composition makes the foil suitable for industrial processes such as creating springs or washers, food processing, domestic appliances, ventilation systems, automotive trim parts, etc.
