Stainless Steel 13-8 PH Foil is a martensitic stainless steel foil. It contains high chromium, medium nickel, and moderate amounts of other elements like phosphorus, sulfur, and carbon. The overall alloy composition is balanced to give it a unique combination of properties, making it one of the most wear and corrosion-resistant stainless steels available today.
Stainless Steel 13-8 PH foil is precipitation-hardened stainless steel, providing excellent mechanical properties and corrosion resistance. It has good strength, flexibility, toughness, and fatigue strength even at temperatures up to 650°C (1200°F). In addition to these attributes, it exhibits excellent cryogenic properties, making it usable in extremely low-temperature applications. It is mainly used in aerospace and defence applications for valve springs and other components.
