Stainless Steel 17-7 PH Tubing

Stainless Steel 17-4 PH Tubing is a martensitic precipitation-hardening stainless steel that combines high strength and corrosion resistance. It typically contains 17% chromium, 4% nickel, 1–2% manganese, 0.15%-0.45% silicon, 0.7%-1.2 % copper and other elements in smaller quantities depending on the grade of the alloy used. This type of tubing offers good mechanical properties at higher temperatures and excellent corrosion resistance when exposed to various corrosive media, such as strong acids and alkalis, and organic compounds like brines or salt solutions.

Stainless steel 17-4 PH tubing is a precipitation-hardened stainless steel with high strength and hardness, excellent corrosion resistance, good formability, weldability and toughness. It is commonly used in the aerospace industry for parts requiring high strength and corrosion resistance, such as pins, shafts or bearings; the medical industry for surgical instruments and components; and general engineering applications demanding a combination of properties like strength and corrosion resistance. Aside from its use in these industries, it can also be used to create jewellery thanks to its flexibility.
