Stainless Steel 17-7 PH Bars

Stainless Steel 17-7 PH Bars are precipitation-hardened steel bars made of an iron alloy that contains chromium, nickel and aluminium. It has the highest strength and hardness in stainless steel and can only be hardened through cold-working processes such as age hardening. Its composition comprises 15–17% chromium, 6–7% nickel, 3–5% aluminium, 0.2%-0.3% manganese & up to 0.15%-0.45% copper with a balance of iron, making it highly durable and resistant to corrosion and oxidation compared to other grades of stainless steel.

Stainless Steel 17-7 PH Bars are extensively used for their superior mechanical properties. The steel features excellent resistance to corrosion and oxidation, high formability, and good elasticity and strength properties without hardening in normal conditions. It is also extremely resistant to atmospheric attacks and provides great stability during heat treatment processes like precipitation hardening. Additionally, these bars are non-magnetic, providing flexibility for machining purposes.
