317

Stainless Steel 317 Unequal Tee Pipe Fittings comprise an iron, chromium, nickel and molybdenum alloy. This specific grade is also a variation of the standard 316 stainless steel due to its higher molybdenum content. The extra molybdenum does not mean there is more corrosion resistance than the typical 316 material but instead increased strength resulting from austenitizing during manufacturing. The amount of chromium and nickel in this grade of stainless steel is about 18% and 12%, respectively, which makes for a highly durable fitting suitable for industrial applications that may be subject to heavy wear or chemical exposure.

317 Stainless Steel Unequal Tee Pipe Fittings offer a unique combination of properties that no other material can match. With high strength and exceptional corrosion, stress-corrosion cracking, and crevice corrosion resistance, these fittings are ideal in many hostile environments. They also offer superior temperature cycle strength, making them perfect for applications where severe temperature changes occur. Furthermore, they are highly resistant to chloride pitting and sulfide stress corrosion cracking and provide excellent fabrication characteristics. All these properties make Stainless Steel 317 Unequal Tee Pipe Fittings fit for use in multiple industries, including petrochemical processing, offshore oil rigs, medical equipment manufacturing, pulp and paper production and more.
