The chemical composition of 310 stainless grade steel valves is as follows: Chromium (24%), Nickel (19%), Manganese (2.0%), Silicon (1.50%), Iron (Balance), Carbon, Sulphur, and Phosphorus as per ASTM A240/A240M standard specification for chromium and chromium-nickel stainless steel plate, sheet, and strip for pressure vessels and general applications.

310 SS valves are used in applications that require excellent corrosion resistance, oxidation resistance, and strength at high temperatures. They can be used in food production and processing, air heaters, pharmaceuticals, plastics, and rubber industries. Its properties include good weldability, formability, and machinability. It is also resistant to carburization and embrittlement.
