Stainless Steel 347H is a higher carbon version of the standard grade of stainless steel, also known as Type 347. It offers improved resistance to intergranular corrosion compared to other grades and has excellent weldability due to its low carbon content. The chemical composition of SS347H includes chromium 18-20%, nickel 9-13%, manganese 2%, silicon 1% and carbon 0.08%.
Stainless steel 347h sheet is a high-strength, austenitic, chromium-nickel stainless steel alloy containing Columbium and Tantalum. It offers excellent oxidation resistance and creep strength up to 1500°F (816°C). This grade also has good ductility and formability properties, making it an ideal choice for various industries, including chemical plants, food processing equipment, medical devices and marine applications.
